Gyarados ex is a Pokémon TCG Pocket deck archetype currently in Tier S. The deck revolves around Water Pokémon and includes cards such as Gyarados ex, Druddigon, and Misty.

With 180 HP and powerful Rampaging Whirlpool attack that deals 140 damage, Gyarados ex is one of the best cards in the game right now. Your goal with this deck is simple: protect your Magikarp in your Bench while you evolve it and stack enough energy to attack with your future Gyarados.
This is where Druddigon comes in. Its 100 HP is usually enough to buy you a few turns as you prepare your Gyarados, while the 20 cheap damage you get from its Rough Skin ability can help you soften some of your opponent's Pokémon so you can snipe them with Greninja's Water Shuriken ability.
If you manage to get a Gyarados in the Active spot with enough Energy to attack, it's usually game over for your opponent.
